FUNDRAISER: Let's Help Walker!

So, something absolutely awful just happened. One of my girlfriend’s former roommates, Walker, just lost his house in a devastating fire on December 21st 3:30AM. Absolutely everything was lost. All that’s left is charred remains.

A fundraiser to help Walker recover from this horrible loss is currently underway. While I have never met Walker personally, I do owe a lot to him, and this is the least I can do to help him out just a bit. For a little more background however, my girlfriend, Genevieve, was previously homeless in Florida and struggling to survive. It was a very scary period of both of our lives where we were constantly in fear of if she would ever make it out of that awful situation. Fortunately, my girlfriend was in contact with Suris, a leftist Vtuber and Magic The Gathering player and one of Walker’s roommates at the time. Suris and Walker essentially rescued Genevieve where I was unable to due to being on the other side of the planet, by making room for her in their shared house and giving her the shelter, time and space we desperately needed to finally arrange plane tickets for Genevieve to come to New Zealand and live with me. I can not overstate how grateful I am for this. Genevieve and I have now been living together for over two years and it’s been absolutely wonderful. It’s now impossible for me to even imagine a life that I’m not sharing with her, and it may have never happened without Suris and Walker letting her stay with them!
